With nearly 40 years of amp development experience, VHT will focus on high-gain products. In 2025, VHT launched this new "High Gain" amplifier head. Known for its aggressive, articulate high-gain tone, compact size, light weight, and excellent craftsmanship, this product resulted from approximately one year of design refinement—a labor of love by VHT engineers.

The HELLHOUND V20 uses four 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power tubes, delivering an American-style high-gain sound with preserved high-end clarity, creating a saturated yet clear tone. It features a modern aesthetic with tight lows and prominent highs, offering a fresh take on distorted tones.
Controls include dual-channel switching, three-band EQ, gain and volume for the distortion channel, volume for the clean channel, presence, and a saturation/distortion selector. A single footswitch controls channel switching, with effects loop jacks. A power attenuation switch (20W/7W) allows lower-volume playing with maintained distortion, ideal for bedroom musicians.


Suitable for players who love heavy tones, the HELLHOUND V20 easily delivers excellent high-gain sounds, with noteworthy clean tones as well—making it a great choice for "metal heads."
